Welcome to SKY Press:
SOWA RIGPA PUBLICATIONS

Sky Press is the publishing house for Sowa Rigpa Institute of Tibetan Medicine.

Our mission at Sky Press is to make precious knowledge about traditional systems of healing and meditation available to wider audiences. Through our publications and online resources, we aim above all to offer information about traditional medicine, meditation, tantric yoga, and related topics which is useful, practical, and relevant to readers’ lives today. In this we take our inspiration from our founder and author Dr Nida Chenagtsang who, as a Tibetan Buddhist yogi and practitioner of Sowa Rigpa or Tibetan medicine, has devoted his life to sharing lineage-based medical and meditation practices with students and patients all over the world.

The wish for good health – for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being – is not just a common greeting around the world. It is the foundation for the thriving of communities everywhere. At Sky Press we seek to cater not only to those walking spiritual paths but to benefit anyone who wants to learn more about their own health and how they can improve it and the well-being of others.

Sky Press is serves a cosmopolitan and diverse family of readers. Our titles and online resources are currently available in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, and we continue to expand our networks of distribution and engagement every day.

The essential nature of the sun is pure and clear radiance,
Which even a thousand aeons of darkness cannot obscure.
So too the essence of your own mind is Clear Light,
That cannot be obscured by aeons’ worth of delusions.
Just as the nature of the sky or space exceeds the limits of colour or shape
And is not stained by either black or white clouds,
So too mind’s nature exceeds all limits of color and shape
— Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol, Flight of the Garuda
